Samsung has isolated the problem which made some Note 7 smartphones explode which means, the worst period in Samsung’s recent history is coming to and end. Safe handsets will first hit South Korea and other countries will quickly follow suit.
The battery problem which affected about 0.1% of the phones sold worldwide since August. But the recall to fix the problem has wiped billion of dollars off the South Korean firm’s market value.
The fire hazard which prompted numerous warnings from various authorities not to use the phones on different transportation methods, such as planes, trains, buses.
U.S. regulators went so far as to officially told users on Thursday to “immediately stop using and power down” the devices.
Samsung to its credit was quick to inform its customers and issued a recall program. Around 2.5 million Note 7 smartphones had been sold to that point.
In all fairness, it should also be fair to point out that before the problem arose, the devices were well received by critics and fans alike.
